Anyone who has ever played soccer, either seriously or just in the form of garden kick-about, will at one time or another received a ball in the face. It’s almost guaranteed to happen, and until it does you can’t really consider yourself a soccer player.
What better way to commemorate this moment than by writing a song about it. Which is exactly what one guy has done. The music video contains some painful but oh-so-funny incidences or balls in the face. That’s gotta hurt.
The highlights for me are: the kid who first gets one in the groin and then on his way down another to the face; the guy who scores a goal with his face; the off-the-post face plant; and the all-time classic of the little girl getting one right on the nose.
Just remember kids, soccer is a great sport but playing it can have serious consequences for your face – a ball or an elbow can do serious damage to a nose or teeth. This video is a warning! Albeit a funny one.
