Zack Snyder has a reputation for delivering visually spectacular films, from the Spartan epic 300 to the comic book action flick Watchmen. Here’s the trailer for his latest effort Sucker Punch, a movie which looks every bit as slick as its predecessors.
It sees Emily Browning starring as Babydoll, a pigtailed hottie who survives life in a mental institution by escaping into her imagination. It’s a fairly bleak synopsis, but the cast of sexy young girls bearing samurai swords and guns helps to liven things up.
Snyder had promised us “Alice in Wonderland with machine guns,” and the trailer seems to deliver it. We’ll find out whether it’s all style and no substance when Sucker Punch hits American cinemas on March 25.
