The Lonely Island’s Oscar Song Video | Why Not Me? Asks The Big Question

The Lonely Island were asked to submit a song for inclusion at the Academy Awards. Unfortunately, it was considered a non-starter due to budget restraints.

However, The Lonely Island has now released the song, along with the rough storyboard for the video, on YouTube. And it’s an instant classic.

Why Not Me? makes a good point. Why do films have to be worthy or artistic to win Oscars? Why is it not enough simply to entertain audiences?

I think Bill Skarsgard did a fantastic job as Pennywise in IT. But he wasn’t even nominated for an Oscar. Which is some kind of bullshit.
