To an Australian, Thanksgiving is somewhat of a novelty, particularly when it’s spent with a family you actually don’t know. Just ask James West.
A Sydney journalist called James West started receiving emails from the Tran family in Florida three years ago. He didn’t know them, they didn’t know him, but he was clearly getting the emails meant for a different James West.
After reading some of the emails, West decided he actually wanted to meet the Trans, so he posted a video appeal on YouTube asking for them to invite him to their Thanksgiving dinner. Unbelievably, they did.
This video shows both James Wests as well as everyone else present at the Tran Thanksgiving dinner. And you know what? I wish I’d been there too because it looked like great fun.
