On Monday (June 1st), President Trump walked to St. John’s Church for a photo op. And to do so, he walked across Lafayette Square.
The only problem for Trump was that there were thousands of protesters in Lafayette Square to register their disgust at the death of George Floyd.
Trump’s solution was to have the public space cleared by any means necessary. Which meant military police using brute force and tear gas.
And for what? So that Trump could hold up a copy of The Bible to garner support from the religious right. No wonder people were pissed. And this video explains why.
