“Meghan Markle has broken her silence after her half-sister Samantha Markle filed a defamation lawsuit.
“The Duchess of Sussex, 40, denies she lied to Oprah Winfrey when she said she grew up as an only child, and is seeking to get the lawsuit dismissed.
“Samantha, 57, filed for defamation against her younger half-sister in March.
“She claims she has been subjected to “humiliation, shame and hatred on a worldwide scale” following the infamous Prince Harry and Meghan 2021 tell-all Oprah interview.
“Samantha also argues that Meghan’s assertion in the interview that she “grew up as an only child” constituted “false and malicious lies”.”
