“The Queen is one of millions of Brits paying tribute to Captain Sir Tom Moore following his death.

“The 100-year-old World War II veteran, who raised millions for the UK’s National Health Service by walking laps of his garden, passed away on Tuesday after being hospitalised with COVID-19.

“In a Tweet, Buckingham Palace said the The Queen will send a private message of condolence to the fundraising hero’s family.

““Her thoughts and those of the Royal Family are with them,” it read.
