“A MOTHER has been left with second-degree burns to her chest, stomach and arms after her Thermomix burst open.
“Danika Jones, from Perth, was cooking a family dinner in the coveted $2000 kitchen appliance when it flew open, leaving her covered in boiling hot liquid.
“The seal had recently been replaced by Thermomix after a product recall.
““I had popped the pasta sauce ingredients in the Thermomix using the same recipe I’ve used every week since I bought the machine more than two years ago,” Ms Jones said.
“…She was taken to the hospital burns unit for extensive treatment and was given an electromagnetic device to wear for 20 hours each day as the burns healed.”
