“According to Investigation Discovery, the shocking series follows the Barnett family, who initially adopted what they assumed to be a 6-year-old Ukrainian orphan with spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia, a rare bone growth disorder.
“However, the dynamic of the family was flipped on its head when the Barnett’s alleged that Natalia was an adult impersonating a child with intent to inflict harm on the family.
“When Natalia was discovered living on her own, an investigation was launched into the Barnett family, and both Michael and Kristine, Natalia’s caretakers, were arrested, as noted by Investigation Discovery.”
