I think that, all too often, people forget that the ‘currency’ they hold is an IOU and doesn’t have the value that they take for granted it has.
Once you realise that, you begin to understand how much the oppressive debt most of the world has is actually the thing that keeps the world going.
That’s a very simple way of putting it, yes, but that doesn’t make it any less true.
