There are just so many things wrong with this video, featuring beauty pageant contestant Stacy Hedger, that I couldn’t resist posting it.

Her trumpet playing is questionable, at best. I have to wonder … if this is Stacy’s talent, what are the things she’s really bad at? Thankfully Stacy sticks to the easiest parts of the Star Wars theme. It’s hard to believe, but it could have been worse.

Then there’s the “dancing.” Although I’m still not sure that’s the right word for pretending a trumpet is a laser gun. I’m happy for her to do it though, because while Stacy’s dancing with it, she’s not playing it.

Perhaps it’s a bit mean to pick on her outfit. It was the 1980s after all. But I do wonder who told Stacy the silvery tassels on her sleeves and the big silver star on her front would look good.

I’m not sure whether Stacy won the pageant with this effort, but somehow I doubt it.
