Porter the musical dog better watch his back. There’s a new cute critter threatening to steal his keyboard-playing crown.

The folks at the Monterey Bay Aquarium aren’t content with their animals lazing about, relying on good looks alone to entertain the crowds. Instead they’re training cuties like this river otter to perform!

He seems to love playing the piano, reaching through the glass to get at it the moment he sets eyes on it. But why wouldn’t he? After every few notes he’s rewarded with some tasty treats!

He’s not particularly musical, but give him time. With enthusiasm like that, I’m sure he’ll be belting out Beethoven soon enough.
