Dan Savage, for those of you that don’t know, is an openly-gay political journalist, author, and public speaker. The above clip was taken from one of his talks at a university where he usually addresses important issues regarding sex before marriage, and long-term relationships.

Being a gay parent himself, the subject of gay adoption gets him a bit more heated.

Savage usually gets a lot of bad press whenever he makes appearances on TV, so I stick to watching unbiased clips of his lectures. He often gets labeled as “hostile” by conservatives and even members of the LGBT community, especially when it comes to his advice column Savage Love.

Despite all the controversy, you have to admit that Dan has a way of blunt speaking that most politicians are afraid of showing. There are even rumors that he might run for Mayor of Seattle. This guy has guts.
