Futureproof are one of the two groups of solo singers who were given another chance on The X Factor, the only difference being they had to become a group rather than performing as solo artists in their own right.

This video tells the story of how the whole coming together happened, with Louis Walsh coming up with the original idea, and then Simon Cowell embracing it after much persuading.

I prefer Hope, the female equaivalent to Futureproof, but both groups are through to the live singing stages of the show, and should stay until near the end.

For once Simon was proved wrong as he at first thought the whole thing was a ludicrous idea, and would never work. Quite strange then that he was the one who ended up mentoring the Groups category.
