James Brown was one of the greatest dancers ever to have lived. We’ve all watched him doing his moves and wondered how on earth he does some of them.
Well, now is your chance to find out, as James Brown teaches us how to do a variety of popular dances in his own inimitable style.
Some of the dance moves he demonstrates for our pleasure are the Funky Chicken, the Mash Potato. My favourite though is the old favourite, the Robot.
This video was obviously recorded during James Brown’s heyday of the seventies. But, I don’t know if that wholly excuses his awful nylon looking clothes and porn star moustache.
This video tutorial made me laugh, but also try a few of the moves. I was never going to be as good as James Brown, but the great man actually taught me a few things. Now I’m off to grow a bushy moustache.
