Take the cast of Bridesmaids plus a few famous faces, throw in a story that is both heartwarming and sweet, and you have Friends With Kids. Of which this is the official trailer.
This trailer, when coupled with the trailer for A Thousand Words, shows the power these 2-minute-long teasers have to sell a movie. Or not sell a movie. Depending on how accomplished they are.
By all accounts Friends With Kids is a better movie than the Eddie Murphy comedy, but after watching trailers for both I’d rather see A Thousand Words. In fact, this doesn’t appeal at all.
The story just seems a little flat. And unbelievable. And predictable as well, especially with a trailer that has given so much of the film away. One to avoid, I feel.
