The X Factor live shows have started and some of the final twelve singers seemed to adapt better than others. Rhydian, the Welsh diva stood out for me as someone who lapped up the new intense setting.

Rhydian Roberts is the 24 year old Welsh singer who Sharon Osbourne took great pleasure in labelling “a diva”. Okay, he may be a bit out there, but man, he can sing, and hit all the right notes.

As you will have probably guessed from his performance, he is a classically trained baritone opera singer who has spent seven years training his voice and being trained for super stardom.

He is in Dannii Minogue’s 16-24 male category, and is the pick of her bunch for me. Some people are saying he’s a novelty act but he’s hardly Chico is he!

I think he could go a long way in the competition, as not only will he have the massive Welsh vote, he’ll also stay there longer than the people who can’t step up a gear and sing live.
