In order to promote the new movie Pineapple Express, Bill Hader and Joe Lo Truglio (of Superbad fame) are working with Seth Meyers from Saturday Night Live to create a new comedy webseries about waiting in line simply called ‘The Line.’

“Waiting in line has never been funnier.”

Screen

The show revolves around two of the city’s biggest sci-fi geeks Josh (played by Hader) and Duffy (Joe Lo Truglio) who camp out 11 days early outside of a movie theater to get tickets to see the latest Star Wars-like film Future Space.

Future Space may not be an actual film, but throughout the series three other real-life films are heavily promoted via posters and t-shirts: Step Brothers, Pineapple Express, and The House Bunny.

Guest Stars

Throughout the 7 webisode series, you may notice a few recognizable guest stars:

  • Jason Sudeikis (”SNL”)
  • Paul Scheer (”30 Rock”)
  • Liz Cackowski (Forgetting Sarah Marshall)

The Line Episode 1

In this first episode Josh and Duffy find themselves in the front of the line only to have a face off with the Telepathic Triplets of Zybar.
