After it’s relative success last year in Sydney, Australia, it appears that Earth Hour is on (or perhaps “off”) this year for the entire world. At exactly 8 PM today around the globe, millions of people will turn off their lights to conserve energy.
Are you one of them?
Usually, I’m not really big into these “global protests” like not buying gas for a day, but this one actually seems reasonable. Heck, if 2100 corporations (ironically including McDonalds) joined the movement, then I don’t see why individuals can’t have an impact.
As for me, I’m planning to participate. That is, if I remember.
