Meet REDEARTH88 - A New Vlogger To Replace Lonelygirl15

We’ve had Lonelygirl15, KateModern, and a whole host of other spin-offs on the real or not vlogger concept, but is there room for another?

REDEARTH88 is the latest entry in to a crowded but very popular genre, that of the fake video blogger who uploads videos to YouTube detailing her life to whoever will listen.

The show’s creator, Glenn Rubenstein, was once part of the tea behind original hit Lonelygirl15, so if you enjoyed that, the chances are you may find some interest here.

Growing More Popular

REDEARTH88 was launched in July 2007, but is just now picking up some momentum in viewers, with the last two episodes gaining over 200,000 page views apiece.

The RE88 videos are actually only a small part of a bigger universe, all created by Rubenstein under the umbrella of his alternate reality game OpAphid.

Been There, Done That?

Therefore the series, and the multiple video plots are more involving then LG15, but personally, I think we’ve been there and done that already. What was once original is now a tired format.

To help you decide for yourself, here is one of the videos, and if you want to see more, just click the link after the clip, to get access to all of the videos in the series.
