The first show of The X Factor ended up being exciting and controversial, with Sharon Osbourne walking out on the show after two of her three acts ended up being voted in to the bottom two.

Kimberley Southwick and Alisha Bennett, both in Sharon’s Under 25s Girls category, received the least amount of votes out of all twelve contestants who had sung live for the first time on the show.

It ended up pissing Sharon off so much she immediately threatened to quit, telling presenter Dermot O’Leary “I’m out… gone!”.

She then refused to take part in the vote to save one of the acts and send the other home. It was left to Simon Cowell, Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh to decide the fate of the girls.

Kimberley Southwick ended up leaving the show, with Alisha saved for another day. But it was no thanks to Sharon, who is meant to be her ‘mentor’.

So was it a real hissy fit by Ozzy’s wife, or just another publicity stunt to up the show’s ratings? I fully expect her to be on the show on Saturday, despite her protests on numerous chat shows that she won’t be going back.
